Andrew Feghali
Andrew Feghali is a seasoned restaurant founder, operator, and investor with a track record of building and scaling high-performing organizations. He is the Vice-Chair and Co-Founder of Mike’s Red Tacos, a rapidly growing concept recognized as one of Yelp’s Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S. Andrew is also a Founding Partner in the first and largest franchise group of Dave’s Hot Chicken, the fastest-growing restaurant brand in America. He and his partners opened the brand’s first-ever franchise location, contributing to its meteoric rise and eventual sale at a valuation of approximately $1 billion, just five years later.
In addition, Andrew is one of the largest franchisees of Little Caesars Pizza and maintains a diverse portfolio of franchise investments spanning ~100 locations nationwide. Based in San Diego, Andrew lives with his wife and two children and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), where he currently serves on the Board of the San Diego Chapter. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of San Diego’s School of Leadership and Education Sciences and a Master’s Degree from the university’s Knauss School of Business.
Bill Phelps
Bill Phelps is one of the most prolific leaders in the fast-casual restaurant industry, currently serving as the Executive Chairman of Dave's Hot Chicken. Under his guidance as the brand's first CEO, Dave's Hot Chicken exploded from a Los Angeles pop-up to over 400 locations globally, with over 700 more in development, attracting high-profile investors like Drake.
Phelps has a proven track record of identifying and scaling successful concepts; he co-founded and served as CEO of Wetzel's Pretzels, growing it to over 350 units, and was an initial investor in Blaze Pizza, helping it expand to over 350 units before its successful exit. Drawing lessons from early challenges at Wetzel's, he champions a strategy of bringing in experienced teams and partnering with well-capitalized multi-unit franchisees. Known for his ability to spot "gigantic waves" in the market, Phelps emphasizes collaboration with franchisees, believing their ideas are paramount to innovation and growth, balancing a competitive drive with a sincere and caring approach.
